Equip Our Student Musicians For Success Today & Tomorrow
The Whitefish School District Band and Orchestra programs serve a diverse group of more than 450 middle & high school students, fostering creativity, discipline, and teamwork through music.
The Whitefish Education Foundation, Whitefish School District, middle and high school band and orchestra programs, and the Band Boosters, humbly request your support in our efforts to replace critically dated musical equipment.
WHY NOW?
• WHS & WMS band and orchestra rental instruments are showing significant signs of wear & tear
• Some instruments currently in use are 30-70 years old
• Impaired instruments hinder students’ musical development and pose barriers to achieving a high level of performance
THE NEED
The goal: $400,000
Due to budget restraints, no regular district funding is available—nor has there ever been— for the purchase of musical instruments. Our programs have always relied on the generosity of private donors and grant programs for equipment needs.
All funds raised will be earmarked for instrument replacement within the WSD music departments, prioritizing the Band and Orchestra programs.
Funds raised over the outlined needs, campaign costs, and administrative fees will be placed in an endowment at the Whitefish Community Foundation. The endowment will be created with the intention of holding funds for a minimum of 10 years before use.
