FIT, in Whitefish serves a similar function to PTA’s or PTO’s in other school districts.
Simply by having a child or children attend Whitefish Public Schools, Families become members of the Whitefish Education Foundation Family Involvement Team (FIT) at the school(s) your child or children attend…Mully Families, Whitefish Middle School Families, and/or Whitefish High School Families.

Family Involvement improves student success. Studies have shown that the best predictor of student success is the extent families involve themselves in their child’s education.
FIT provides opportunities for families to become involved with your child’s school life, to foster shared engagement with your child’s teacher and build learning partnerships of families, teachers and the school as a whole.
FIT Coordinators at each school work with parents, teachers and administrators to recognize needs and organize programs and volunteers to enhance the learning of Whitefish Students.
We are guided by the philosophy that TOGETHER WE CAN
do great things to enhance the Educational Experience of Whitefish Students.
A small gift from one family of talent, effort and/or funding when combined with those of others can make a large difference in educational opportunities available to Whitefish Students.
How To Become Involved and help with your student’s success?
Volunteer to donate time and/or funds to a school event or fundraiser. Invitations to support activities throughout the year will be emailed to Whitefish School families with directions for how to get involved included.
Email your child’s school FIT Lead listed or sign-up at a school open house in the fall. Provide your contact information (Email and/or phone number and whether you prefer to be contacted by text or email). Let the lead know if you would like to have a discussion about the specific volunteering opportunities available at your school
Serve on the WEF - FIT Committee In order to provide organization, people willing to do the organization are needed. The committee supports and provides coordination of FIT activities at all schools. Little Mully’s will grow into Middle School, then High School students on their way to graduation from Whitefish Schools. Opportunities to serve as an officer, school lead coordinator, or event lead are possible.
Opportunities to Support Our School
Give to the Whitefish Education Foundation through the Great Fish CommunityChallenge. (July through Sept) This is a fun and easy way to support Whitefish public education.
Attend or Volunteer to help at the Back to School BASH. (Sept.)
Sign up for the Great Fish Fun Run and run on behalf of the Whitefish (School District) Education Foundation.
Volunteer to become a Writing Coach (Sign up in the fall, and participate throughout the year) see WEF Writing Coaches to learn how to volunteer for this program.
Volunteer to help with the Muldown Art with the Master's Program and/or purchase some of your child’s artwork - proceeds to support the Arts in April program. (Fall)
Volunteer to help with Math Mentors.
