Celebrating Community & Generosity!
What an incredible evening celebrating community, generosity, and the power of giving at the Whitefish Community Foundation’s Great Fish Community Challenge Awards! đź’š
Thanks to the support of our donors and the Foundation’s generous matching and incentive programs, the Whitefish Education Foundation received over $56,000, including a $17,000 matching grant and a special $2,500 grant awarded by John Kramer, one of the original founders of the Whitefish Community Foundation.
This special award is part of the Connie Heckathorn “Cheers for Volunteers” Award, which honors individuals who exemplify Connie’s spirit of service. This year, three founders — John Kramer, Mike Jenson, and Rox Hicks — were recognized for their extraordinary leadership. Each was invited to direct a $2,500 grant to a nonprofit of their choice, and we’re deeply honored that John Kramer chose the Whitefish Education Foundation.
We proudly carry forward Connie Heckathorn’s legacy through John’s kindness. Connie served three terms on the Whitefish School Board and deeply valued the education and wellbeing of our students. Her impact continues to shape our community every day. 🍎💛
A heartfelt thank you to our generous donors, the dedicated staff and board of the Whitefish Community Foundation, and the incredible Circle of Giving donors for helping make this year’s campaign a record success — raising over $8 million for 85 nonprofits!
Together, we’re empowering educators, supporting students, and building a brighter future for Whitefish.
